Shakira visita Haití para entregar donación

Santo Domingo, 31 mar (PL) La cantautora colombiana Shakira hará hoy una escala en Haití para entregar una donación de 800 mil dólares destinada a la construcción de una escuela destruida por el terremoto de enero de 2010.

Fuentes cercanas a la intérprete aseguraron que Shakira hará la concesión a través de su Fundación Pies Descalzo y se reconstruirá el recinto escolar en colaboración con la organización Arquitectura para la Humanidad.

La autora de Hips Don't Lie llegará al empobrecido país caribeño desde esta capital, donde unas 50 mil personas presenciaron anoche su concierto en el estadio olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte.

Los asistentes al recital llegaron a inquietarse por la demora de la artista, quien comenzó su actuación pasadas las 23:00 hora local.

No solo la dilación del espectáculo ensombreció la siempre aclamada presentación aquí de la colombiana.

El empresario español José Carlos Bergantiños puso un embargo retentivo las ganancias por la venta de boletas del concierto "Sale el Sol", llamado así por el más reciente disco de Shakira que se promociona en su gira.

El presidente de Sunpetra Green Initiative, Inc. adoptó tal medida por una deuda de cinco millones de dólares que reclama a George Nader, productor del concierto en República Dominicana.

Según publica este jueves El Listín Diario, la acción legal prohibe a todas las personas que vendieron boletos, tanto a personas físicas como a empresas, entregar el dinero de esa recaudación a George Nader Producciones.

Bergantiños demandó a Nader, padre del empresario responsable de traer a la cantante colombiana al país hace cinco años, luego que el segundo cometiera un supuesto fraude en la venta de unos terrenos ubicados en Boca Chica, Samaná y Ubero Alto.
